Uncle Corbin!

This is my handsome "little brother!" Not so little, huh, but still awesome! He came out to see us while interviewing for a job. If any of you have come to visit...or will in the future (hint, hint) you know a visit to see us isn't complete without a trip (sometimes two!) to Ted Drew's! What is Ted Drew's? Only the best frozen custard in this entire world thank you very much!

The kids always enjoy our "ice cream trips" and this day was no different. (Tal is so funny because now when he sees the camera he goes "TEEEEZZ!") Love him!!

We love Uncle Corbin. He's the man, not only because he is awesome, but because he freakin' kicked some BYU Business Management butt in school and is graduating one of the top in his field on Friday! Totally sweet I'd say. You go Corbin! And we love you!

Emma's Preschool Music Program

Oh my gosh! This was seriously great! All the "Growing Place" preschools got together and put on quite a show. Each class sang 2 songs. Emma's class sang "Razza Mataza" and "Down by the Bay." They were so dang funny. They love these songs. They were dancing and laughing and doing the actions. Oh my! I'm laughing just thinking about it. They even amused Tal! I love little kids. They just make even little things so silly!

SOCCER MOM!!

I wasn't sure if Emma would like soccer, but she thought it would be fun to try. She really had a fun time. She's actually not to bad. She can kick with both feet! I can't do that. I do the kick-pause-kick so I only use my right foot. She just runs down the field left-right-left-right!! It was awesome!

I'm glad she likes it. Who am I kidding though...she likes pretty much everything that's fun to do! Even though it was really cold that morning she kept right on running and kicking and laughing, and saying, "This is awesome!"

Grandma and Grandpa Coleman and Nate and Jasmine came to watch. Tal loves "Ba-bop." That's how Emma and now Tal has said "grandpa" when they were first learning. Funny, huh. "Ba-bop!"

She has a few friends on her team each she was sooo excited about:

#10 Elsie, #1 Emma, and #6 Mark, and her friend Trey wasn't there the first day so we'll get a picture with him another day!

"March Dadness"

At preschool they planned a night for the Dad's... basketball style. It was called "March Dadness." They played all kinds of basketball games, had cheerleaders, and even a classic basketball dinner... hotdogs and popcorn. A night like this is right up Matt's alley. It got him all pumped for the actual beloved college basketball tournament. He showed the kids how he could spin the ball on his finger! He's really, really good at it. All the kids thought he was the greatest thing ever!!

Matt and Emma were also able to take a little girl from her class, Aireana, who's dad wasn't available to go. He had a great time spending the night with them.

They needed a few extra basketball hoops that night so I sent Tal's with them. Matt was able to sneak it out the front door, but Tal spent all night until they got home looking for it. Crazy kid!

Emma wanted to practice some cheers before she left! So I taught her one. Always prepared.

Wacky Wednesday!

It was WaCKy Wednesday at preschool today. This has been the best day of school yet. For the first time she didn't cry and make a fuss while I was doing her hair, and she got to wear all her favorite things... all at the same time!! Like magic really, and look how awesome she looked!!

All of the kids (and the teachers) looked great!! I wish I had taken my camera this morning. So, so seriously cute!!

I wonder if I could get away with wear that just for one day?! Hmmm, maybe!

Feeling itchy?

The accountant at work asked Matt that on Monday since it was our seventh anniversary. He wasn't quite sure what she meant! I guess that's good right?! Seven years. Hard to believe. Nonetheless, that's where we are, and we had a fun night.

The tallest building in St. Louis is the Metropolitan Center at 46 stories high. There is a restaurant on the 40th floor called Kemoll's and that's where we went to celebrate. Yummo!!

While we were waiting they let us walk around. It's a beautiful building. And check out the view:

Matt pulled out his car salesman skills and got us a table by the window. Sweet! There is no doubt, he's just good!

And then the food came out. Don't laugh, but I had to take a picture. Have you ever seen a more scrumptious crab cake?

Then our main dishes were served with a pretty purple flower. It was so pretty that I almost didn't want to eat it...almost! It was delightful!!

My 7 little beauties!!! He always remembers! Just as pretty as my 6 last year!

We've experienced a lot in seven years, as to be expected, but there is no one I'd rather have experienced it all with!

Pizza field trip.

Emma's class got to go to a pizza place here in town to make their own pizzas. Genius! Emma loved every minute of the messy experience! Even official pizza making aprons. How about that. The only problem is that Emma is convinced now that this is the pizza place where you get to make your own pizzas... every time!

The Amazing Race... Valentine's Day Edition!

We just had the most amazing Valentine's Day E.V.E.R!!!!!! (Actually we did it on Saturday) My friend Cammie found this idea on another blog and we ran with it. Everything and everyone was awesome and loved it... in the end. We kept our guys in the dark until they showed up to the party and we read them the first clue! Their reaction could have gone either way, but luckily they were totally into it! Here's what we did:

Here's where they went:

1. My house

2. The Bishop's house-we thought adding him into the equation would give the guys less of an excuse to back out, smart huh! This is where they got the rules, their shirts, the video camera (they had to film their adventure), their baggies of money ($2 in change), took their wallets from them and the next clue. Funny, huh!

3. The YMCA

4. My in-laws house to make us love notes

5. The grocery store to buy a can of whipped cream. There was kind of a trick with this one. The clue might have lead them to believe that they were going to be putting it on something other then dessert!! wink, wink! And since we tricked them we had a can of whipped cream for each of them when they got home to use however they desired!!!

6. The church to pop balloons that had love tokens and candy in each one.

7. Emily and Jesse's house (they were one of the couples there that night) to make up a love song to us!

8. The last place was to the "Welcome" sign to our town were we had each written a love note to them and wrapped it in a box for them to find and read.

These are the 8 different clues which we were informed later that it might have been a little to much... Nonetheless here they are. (I loaded them backwards... ooops. But you get the picture)!!

Then it was back to our house for dinner, to watch their adventure (which was seriously so, so awesome!), and we played the Newlywed Game! My friend Emily also put together a slide show of each couple with pictures from when we were dating, when we got married, and now! AWESOME. AWESOME. If you want something fun to do next year, do this. It was a hit!
