After a lot of phone calls and incredibly shocking information, I discovered that it was cheaper for me to buy a last minute plane ticket, fly out to Utah and have my daddy the dentist fix it then have it done here.
As luck would have it, my siblings had planned a Seven Peaks get together that weekend, so I was going to be a surprise!
So having never done this, me, myself, and I flew to Utah for a quick weekend visit leaving the kids to "party" with Matt. And they did. Why is it that did is always more fun........? Anyway, with the book that my sister-in-law Jasmine recommended and my swim suit in hand I flew across the country for a root canal and a fun day of slipping and sliding with my family!
I NEEDED this trip. Wow. It felt nice to have me time...only me time. I would be lying if I said I didn't keep looking around to help the kids open a snack or making sure they were next to me. It was really strange to not have them there, so I found moms that looked like they needed a break (you know what look I'm talking about...the "This has been the longest day of my life" look...)!! But I feel like a new woman, not just because the incredible pain in my tooth is gone, but also I spent the best "adult time" ever with my family. We Beckstrand's are awesome. We enjoyed ourselves so much, and I loved getting to know both of my brother's wives better (that's the down side of living so far away... I gotta get to know these fine looking ladies)! Reflecting is such a motivating thing too, and I had plenty of it with both of my almost 4 hour flights! Thinking about the good and the bad and realizing what really matters.
Thank goodness for my toothache!!!!
My 2 totally cool bros!
Me and my little sis!
Since Emma couldn't come she gave me only one request: "Take a picture of Henry for me!" Here is his. Mr. Cool himself, Henry! I had to show her who was hanging underneath him too.
One more picture for Emma. Alex wished Emma could have been there too!!!!
