Emma did the Hula Hoop Contest again. She won first place in her heat and 4th place overall!!! She even landed herself in the paper again. If this doesn't say "Emma" then I don't know what does!

Last few weeks of 1st grade
The last few weeks of school was something I always looked forward too. Emma was excited too...until the last day that is. Breaks my heart even though I was trying to hide my smiles when I picked her up the last day of school. Such a tender thing! It was definitely an ice cream day that day!!
But leading up to the sadness was a lot of fun activities:
The Egg Drop/Spy Day
The Egg Drop. Let me tell you this about the egg drop! We made that egg so comfy in there it was never going to break. And it didn't!! Emma's was the only raw egg in her class that survived all 8 falls off the school roof! She was so excited. Plus, it was spy day! Can't get much better then that!
Nerd Day
The picture says it all I think:)
Field Trip
The first grade field trip was to the Butterfly House in St Louis. Such a beautiful place, and the kids had a blast!
Emma's 8
My beautiful princess girl is 8. I can't believe it! She is pure joy inside and out. She makes me so happy to be her mama!
And what better way to celebrate then getting your and your dolls ears pierced?!! Emily went first, then it was Emma's turn to be brave. And just like that she has her very own bling!

King of the Preschool!
Oh boy! Tal is starting preschool! He was so excited. I'm sure it helped that Emma told him how great preschool is: there's snacks, and toys, and trikes, stories, playing, singing (I think Tal chose to ignore that one...he will not sing) and painting. He was ready to go...(tear).
2nd Grader!!
The day had finally come! After a long, hot, grueling summer her dreams came true and she was starting 2nd grade. She actually was nervous about 2nd grade but happy to be in school again with all her friends.
My very talented friend Sarah did a cute photo shoot with the kids a couple day before school started. So cute!!

The big day! I can't believe she is so big. She's learning and growing and getting ready to be baptized. She amazes me with her confidence with others. She's good to the core. I love this curly head so much!
(Tal was so patient. He didn't start school until the next week)
Rams preseason
So exciting right! Is this what they call "taking one for the team"? No, it was a fun family thing to do with our friends Molly and Casey! We got to sit so close.
Eating at one of out favorite spots on "The Hill." Favaza's!!
Magic House Fun!
There is nothing better on a hot summer day then spending a few hours at the Magic House in St. Louis.
Trains of course!
Future profession maybe! Looks believable!
And what the heck??!!! haha
Six Flags!
IT. WAS. SO. HOT! Melting hot on the day we decided to go. We found found every cooling off station we could, drank crazy amounts water, and sprayed gallons of it on us as well. But the heat didn't ruin the day one bit. Lots of smiles as Six FlagsS)
Six Flags was safe for one more day!!!
ABC "Y"
Tal joined his cute friends from the YMCA Preschool and put on a very entertaining last day of school for the parents!
Ms. Merrietta the teacher (bless her heart!) She had a lot of fun with them!
Tal and Steve
Frankie Blue Eyes
Frankie Blue Eyes came to visit Emma's school. She has an amazing story. She along with 25 other horses were being taken to the slaughter house when the trailer they were in overturned. All but 8 of the horses were killed and Frankie was one of them. They went to live with an animal rescue group and is now their spokes"horse"! Emma and Tal loved her story and getting to give her a snack. Emma even got her picture in the paper with Frankie!!!
